BitTitan Launches Microsoft Azure Starter Kit to Help Drive New Revenue for IT Service Providers
Latest additions to MSPComplete enable managed service providers to start selling Azure workloads without special training or certifications
December 8, 2015
KIRKLAND, Wash. – December 8, 2015 – BitTitan, the cloud services enablement leader, today announces the launch of the Azure Starter Kit. Available exclusively through BitTitan’s end-to-end cloud services enablement platform, MSPComplete, the Azure Starter Kit offers tools and sales education to help partners sell, onboard and service Microsoft Azure. Without the need for special training or expertise, IT service providers can add the popular cloud platform to their list of offerings and tap into new recurring revenue opportunities.
The Azure Starter Kit focuses on Azure use cases that address major business challenges among SMBs and enterprises and are easy for partners to sell. Opportunities include the end of life and end of support of SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2005 in April 2016. Tens of millions of SQL databases and millions of customers are affected. SMBs especially lack the resources and expertise to upgrade their databases; therefore their critical data and business applications are at risk. By migrating these outdated databases to Azure SQL Databases, IT service providers can save their customers money and ensure their databases are always up-to-date going forward.
“Azure is a multi-million dollar opportunity for MSPs,” said Jeff Tinea, Program Manager at BitTitan. “We work with thousands of partners today who have successful Office 365 practices. Those partners are looking to adopt a multi-cloud business model and want to sell Azure, but aren’t sure how to get started. This is the answer.”
The Azure Starter Kit includes:
- HealthCheck for Azure enables partners to sell Azure by scanning virtual machines on-premises and quickly identify workloads the customer can move to Azure. HealthCheck incorporates pricing and ROI data, making it easy for partners to start the Azure conversation with their customer.
- Database Migration assesses the compatibility of on-premises SQL databases with Azure SQL and then migrates them to the cloud with a few, simple clicks.
- Cloud Storage Migration automates the migration of large amounts of unstructured data to Azure including Amazon AWS blob storage and on-premises file shares.
“On average, more than 1,200 new customers sign up for Azure every day which creates a huge partner opportunity,” said Gavriella Schuster, General Manager of the Worldwide Partner Group. “It is exciting to see innovations within our ecosystem where partners are investing to onboard and prepare other partners to successfully capture this market opportunity.”
The Azure Starter Kit is available exclusively through BitTitan’s MSPComplete platform, which enables thousands of partners worldwide to successfully sell, onboard, service cloud technology.
