The BitTitan team is hitting the road in 2020, attending several Microsoft Ignite roadshow events to connect with our global customer base. Stay tuned for updates from stops including Copenhagen, Singapore, Syndey, and Amsterdam.
Microsoft Ignite: Toronto
Ignite touched down in Toronto from January 8-9, with more than 5,000 people in attendance. The audience was comprised mostly of SMB, education, and government end-users. At the booth, conversations centered around tenant-to-tenant migrations, particularly from IT professionals in the education space. Over the past year, BitTitan has completed several tenant consolidation projects for universities with user counts in the hundreds of thousands. The largest of these was a 600,000-user project spanning 20+ remote campuses.
Attendees in Toronto were also curious to learn more about our capabilities around Teams migrations and Hybrid Exchange, which is currently in beta with select partners. Top of mind is the transition from Skype to Teams. While there’s little data that needs to be migrated between these systems, there is a larger, more challenging change management initiative to ensure proper configuration and adoption of Teams.
Microsoft Ignite: London
A week after Toronto, Ignite moved to the UK and grew to over 6,600 IT professionals. Our team saw heavy traffic at this event from both partners and internal enterprise IT teams. Tenant-to-tenant projects were a point of focus, as were discussions around end of support for Exchange 2010. Considering this deadline has been pushed back due to the number of customers still utilizing this on-premises option, IT pros are looking towards the October 13, 2020 deadline and beginning to plan ahead.
We also faced questions from potential education and non-profit customers about our history with these projects and how we differentiate from the competition. Particularly for T2T projects or multiple Source endpoint scenarios, our 100% SaaS solution offers an easier, quicker experience over on-prem alternatives from other third-party vendors.
Microsoft Ignite: Syndey
The middle of February brought the BitTitan team to Sydney, where we met with many small and midsize MSPs hunting for a new migration solution. The BitTitan booth team fielded many inquiries about two migration competitors in the region, seeing a clear appetite for a new migration tool amongst this customer base. Our team also had conversations with several MSPs serving governments both at the local and state level, while the few enterprise inquiries we had centered around Active Directory migrations and the traditional on-premises Exchange to Office 365 transition.
